For week of 1/15/11: Cemetery in Williamsburg, VA

Jamie and I are interested in learning more about the Civil War and seeing some of the battlefields. The war was a real tragedy; more Americans died in the Civil War than have died in all other wars combined. Here are two nameless soldiers buried at the Bruton Parish Episcopal Church in Williamsburg, VA. They were identified as Confederate by their uniforms, I suppose, with no other ID. It's sad to think that their families never knew what happened to them or where they ended up; only that they never returned home. Two of over 600,000 people who died in the war. Click here to see another somber gravesite at this cemetery.
