Voyageurs National Park, Minnesota

There are over 500 forested islands in Voyageurs National Park. We hiked on one island then took a boat tour through the northern waterways.

Below: In 1893 there was gold mining on the islands but that was short-lived. Here is one of the old mine shafts.
