Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Texas
Below: This is the first rock formation we saw as we entered the park. It was a beautiful day so we picked a trail and went for a hike in the mountains.

Below: There is a tremendous variety of plants in the park, including tall yuccas.

Below: Bill loved all the different cacti.

Below: We hiked to Smith Springs, a natural cold spring creating a shady oasis in the desert.

Below: There were beautiful flowers all along the trail.

(Acanthocephala terminalis) was hanging out on a succulent.

Below: There were lots of lizards cruising around but we didn't see any snakes.
