For week of 10/29/11: World's Largest Catsup Bottle, IL



When you're traveling, ya gotta love roadside kitsch ... or, in this case, roadside catsup. Here's the world's largest catsup bottle in Collinsville, IL. It's actually a 170-foot-tall water tower built in the shape of a catsup bottle in 1949. According to their website: "In 1995, due to the efforts of the Catsup Bottle Preservation Group, this landmark roadside attraction was saved from demolition and beautifully restored to its original appearance." Fortunately, it was not too far out of our way.
